Dragonlord Art Preview

"I've attached several photos of the painting in progress. I spent about 12 hours on it today, and I think it's finally at a stage where it could be shown as a teaser, granted there's still a lot of work left (where are the flying beasties??! The giant spider??!) At any rate, the characters are shaping up. I will need to let the paint dry for at least a day and a half before doing more work on the characters, so if you have any suggestions during that time, feel free to call or email me.

"If there's anything I'd like to share about the piece so far, it's that fighting to get the characters true to the story visually has been a bit like a perilous quest of its own. Wednesday night, for example, I did several hours of work on Elizia's facial expression that were all wrong, and it seemed as though all hope was behind me. That perhaps I should turn around and run fast in the other direction. "I can't show this to CJ!" I exclaimed. And yet as Saturday came around I persevered, and those artistic demons were banished into hellfire. For good, hopefully.

"Seriously though? I'm having crazy amounts of fun with this."

Well, everyone, there's your peek. The artist is Virginia based Cynthia Sheppard, and if you're anything like us, you're going to be eagerly waiting for a shot of the giant spider and the rest. We promise to get that stuff up as soon as we have the images. Honest!
